With the possibility of international travel already possible for some countries and possibly even looming above the horizon for us Malaysians, you can bet that you’ll be inundated with holiday ideas when borders finally open. And after a year spent mostly in lockdown, it’s likely you’ll want to visit every place that pops in your head. But would you be willing to on a surprise holiday?

The private, members-only Contiki Travel Lounge group on Facebook is offering an exciting travel experience – group mystery trips. The location of your holiday will be a secret and will only be made known to you after you’ve made a booking. This might sound a little cray cray, but best believe that it’ll be one of the most unforgettable trips you’ll ever have.

Of course, you’ll still have some ‘control’ over other important aspects of the trip. As trips ‘drop’ every month for you to choose from, guests will be given details such as the vibe, dates, budgets, and departure location so you can choose what best works for you. The icing on the cake, however, is that the first few sign-ups for each trip will be bagging the surprise holiday at insane discounts of up to 40%!

The Contiki Travel Lounge is free to join and adventurers from all parts of the world are welcome. So, yes, Malaysians can sign up too! The only caveat is that you need to be 18 to 35 years of age to go on these group trips.

Leia is neither a princess nor a fan of Star Wars (which she hopes isn’t a deal breaker). Besides her consuming passion for writing and travelling, humanitarian works have always interested her. Standing true to her life motto “To give is to receive”, Leia believes true happiness is gained when it is shared. She dreams to retire in a cottage at the foothills of the Swiss mountains with her mother and become a florist.
