Myrtle Beach Hit by Strong Winds and High Waves From Hurricane Isaias

Myrtle Beach in South Carolina was hit by large waves and strong winds on August 3 as the area felt the effects of Hurricane Isaias.

The National Hurricane Center announced that the storm made landfall near Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina at around 11:30 pm on August 3 with wind speeds of up to 85 miles per hour.
