Why is it a good deal? 💰

Right now, you'll save just about 70% on this blanket that one reviewer called "my favorite earthly possession." It's also great to give as a holiday or housewarming gift — or spread the coziness and add to more than one bedroom in the home.

Why do I need this? 🤔

At first glance, this electric blanket looks like your regular, yet stylish, throw blanket. Look again, though, and you'll notice some pretty amazing features that kick it up a few notches. For example, it warms up fast and has six heating levels you can control with a detachable controller. Yes, the controller detaches, so you can safely toss this blanket into the washing machine when necessary.

It also has a timer. You can set the blanket to your desired heat for one to five hours. After the timer runs out, it will automatically stop heating. However, it's important to note that for your safety, it shuts off after five hours no matter what. That means you could fall asleep with your blanket on and rest peacefully knowing you don't have to wake up to turn it off.

Another great reason this electric blanket rocks is the size. It's 60 inches wide, which is big enough to cover a queen-size bed. Prefer to wrap up in your blanket rather than lie under it? It also has buttons so you can secure it around your shoulders. Talk about cozy!

What reviewers say 💬

Walmart shoppers can't stop raving about the MaxKare Electric Blanket. In fact, nearly 4,000 comfy fans give it five stars.

Pros 👍

"This blanket is awesome!" wrote an enthusiastic shopper. "Even without it turned on, the [sherpa] keeps you more than warm. If you need a little extra heat you have the option of [six heating levels], but believe me, two or three is enough. My stepdaughter used it one evening and in turn, asked us to buy her her very own."

"It's the perfect blanket to cuddle up with on cool days while watching movies. It also comes in handy when you don't want to heat the entire house but want to stay warm while idle," explained a satisfied shopper.

This fan agreed: "This will save you much more than the cost in heating savings by being able to set your thermostat a couple of degrees cooler. This throw is very soft and works well. It heats quickly and maintains its warmth throughout the timed period you can set. I set it on 2, and it adds enough heat to make you comfortable in a cool room."

A final fan called it a "great heated blanket," adding, "This is a really soft blanket — it has a nice weight to it as well. When I use the timer to shut it off automatically, the remote blinks. I haven't figured out why yet — it does not explain that in the instructions. Other than that, I love the blanket!"

Cons 👎

While one shopper wrote, "The size of the blanket works for use by a single person and is a nice throw," the size was not what others had in mind. "Too small," said this reviewer. "I'm pleased with the heat and the thickness, but it's small. Guess that's on me, maybe I didn't read the description, but it's a blanket; don't think it will even cover a twin bed."

This customer agreed: "I thought I was buying a heating blanket. Realized later, once I got it, that it is a throw."

The snaps can help keep this blanket comfortably wrapped around your shoulders.
