Musk sells another $930 mln Tesla shares

Elon Musk has been selling shares again.

Official filings on Monday (November 15) showed him offloading another $930 million in Tesla stock.

That's to meet tax obligations related to the exercise of stock options.

Musk has been selling Tesla shares over the past week after asking Twitter users whether he should get rid of 10% of his stake.

A majority said he should.

By early this week he'd sold close to $7 billion-worth, driving a big slide in Tesla's share price.

The company's market capitalisation was down over $200 billion by Monday's close, with its value going below the landmark $1 trillion-level during the session.

It's not clear how or whether the stock-option related sales connect to the Twitter pledge.
