A music video featuring dance music duo Galantis and pop star Charlie XCX brings new meaning to the phrase "Super Nintendo World".

Universal Studios is opening a special Nintendo-themed section of its theme park in Japan, Osaka, with rides that reference racing game franchise "Super Mario Kart" and friendly green lizard character Yoshi.

Both properties had previously been namechecked by Universal Parks & Resorts CEO Tom Williams during a September 2019 investor presentation, in which he described phase one plans for the Super Nintendo World area.

Similarly, Mario's rival Bowser and a castle belonging to his friend Princess Peach popped up in the business briefing and are likewise brought to life in the Galantix x Charlie XCX video.

The music video also teases how a special Nintendo wristband, which can be hired at additional cost, connects with visitors' smartphones to provide them with extra activities across multiple floor levels.

Nintendo and Universal brokered a partnership deal in 2014, and Universal plans to open Super Nintendo World in time for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics Games, which run from July 24 to August 9.
