Multiple Camera Angles Show Home Shaken by Earthquake in Crete

The Greek island of Crete was struck by a magnitude-6 earthquake on the morning of September 27.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said the quake was one of 23 tremors in total within the space of seven hours.

One person was reported dead, and at least 11 were injured, local news said.

In Heraklion, schools were evacuated and were due to be checked for structural damage.

This footage, taken from multiple cameras, shows a house outside Heraklion shaking during the early morning quake.

The tremor is strong enough to visibly shake a car and the furniture inside the house. The source of the video, George Koutsantonakis, told Storyful that they were doing “fortunately well”, and that they were leaving the house to stay in nearby Heraklion. Credit: George Koutsantonakis via Storyful
