Muhyiddin denies Perikatan copied from Pakatan-BN’s Selangor manifesto
SHAH ALAM, Aug 4 — Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin denied tonight that his coalition borrowed election manifesto ideas from rivals Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional.
The former prime minister said that he did not even know what PH and BN were promising as he did not read its manifesto.
“I don’t know anything about their manifesto; I didn’t read it, so how to copy and paste?” Muhyiddin told reporters after launching his coalition’s manifesto for the Selangor election.
“We have in our ranks former leaders with high calibre, experience, and skill. We don’t need to be taught; we already know what to do and have produced a really strong manifesto tonight.
“So, I know the Selangor menteri besar said we will copy and paste their manifesto, but is theirs worth RM2 billion?” he asked.
When he was told that it was the same, Muhyiddin sought to brush it off.
“Same? Well, OK la, then.”
Earlier this week, caretaker Selangor menteri besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said PN were devoid of ideas on how to develop the state, and would likely copy the PH-BN unity manifesto.
