Being a beauty vlogger is a dream job that can majorly pay off, especially if you’re Jeffree Star. Over the years, Jeffree has gone from musician to YouTuber to beauty mogul and his bank account has grown with his following. Even though the beginning of 2020 proved to be a tough year for Jeffree and he took a break from social media after splitting from his longtime boyfriend, his net worth didn’t seem to take a hit.

In fact, Jeffree isn’t slowing down when it comes to his business ventures. He's dropped some major palettes this year including Blood Lust, Orgy and Cremated. Even though there was some drama surrounding that last one, it still sold out in less than 20 minutes, according to Alternative Press.

In a video posted in October 2020, Jeffree said he's completely replaced his current lipstick formula and packaging with a new blend he calls Velvet Trap. The new product comes in 20 shades and launched just in time for the holiday season.

You probably already know that the brutally honest beauty YouTuber has millions of followers on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, which he's constantly expanding through celeb name-dropping and insanely successful collabs with other YouTubers like Shane Dawson and former best friends (now, enemies), Manny MUA and Laura Lee. Not only can YouTubers make money directly from the platform, but they can leverage their followings to score lucrative endorsements and launch their own lines, as Jeffree has done.

Before any of those platforms even existed, Jeffree was once the most-followed person on MySpace and had a successful music career. His most popular song, "Beauty Killer" now has over 17 million views on YouTube.

On top of that, Jeffree is a whole beauty influencer (he once shared that a brand offered him $165k to use their product) and is the founder, owner, and CEO of his flourishing namesake brand Jeffree Star Cosmetics. He also owns a ton of other ventures on the side that make hella money. In total, Jeffree says he owns ten different businesses.

"I own investment properties around the world, I invest in the marijuana business," he explained in a video with Shane Dawson.

"I own an entire shipment and fulfillment center, I own a merchandise company, I print and manufacture everything myself. So I have about ten businesses that I'm currently running besides my brand which is my cosmetics company."

On the Mom's Basement podcast, Jeffree shared that his next goal is to write a New York Times Best Seller and is currently working on an autobiography.

"I've accomplished everything I've wanted to accomplish thus far. I now have ten more goals I want to accomplish. I now want to be a New York Times best-selling author," he said. "I'm currently writing an autobiography. It's really dark and inspiring and great and there are things that I've never talked about ever going in there."

So what does this all amount to? Well, in April 2020, Jeffree himself confirmed that "in this moment, net worth of Jeffree Star Cosmetics is like 1.5 [billion]." That's a lot of lipstick.
