PENANG – MTT Hospitality Sdn Bhd, a division of the MTT Group of Companies, is thrilled to announce its official partnership with the renowned Pan Pacific Hotels Group. This landmark collaboration, formalised during an official signing ceremony, marks a pivotal moment in Penang’s hospitality landscape, as the iconic Evergreen Laurel Hotel is set to undergo two stages of transformation. On the 1st of September 2024, the hotel will be known as the Gurney Bay Hotel, A PARKROYAL Partner Hotel. The hotel will then undergo a full transformation whilst remaining open for operations, and within 18 to 24 months, will then be rebranded as the PARKROYAL Gurney Bay Hotel.
The event was officiated by the Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Chow Kon Yeow and graced by Yang Berhormat Tuan Wong Hon Wai, Penang State Exco for Tourism and the Creative Economy, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Ir. Rajendran A/L P.
