Mourners formed a long line across Lambeth Bridge in London, England, on Wednesday, September 14, waiting to see the late Queen Elizabeth II lying in state at Westminster Hall.

Footage captured by Iain Reitze shows the line. In the video, Reitze says there is a “lovely, supportive atmosphere” and he is “just under 500th in the queue.”

The queen’s body will lie in state at Westminster Hall, and the public will be able to pay their respects from September 14 to September 19.

IAIN REITZE: Well, good morning, everyone. I've made it. And, I think, I've got a pretty good chance of getting through to see our queen. I think it's going to be a long wait. But it's going to be a worthwhile wait. That is Lambeth Bridge over there. Obviously, the House of Commons. And just [INAUDIBLE] right there. My little Paddington Bear picnic.

It's going to be a long day. A little update, guys, some of you have messaged me and said that you really appreciate the update. So I'm actually stuck in the shade here, so it's a bit chilly. Just over five hours gone now. And it absolutely has gone quite quickly. It's a lovely, supportive community atmosphere in the queue.

And I'm not actually sure quite how far it goes down. Now, I think, I'm just under 500th in the queue. OK, latest update, leaving southbank behind, and now headed over Lambeth Bridge to join the queue to Westminster Hall.

Well, I've now moved from south bank over Lambeth Bridge down onto north bank, getting closer. The atmosphere has changed a little bit. Everyone has gone a little bit more quiet, more solemn. But look at preparation here. And, obviously, expecting enormous, enormous crowds. I'm actually starting to feel a little bit nervous.
