Motorists in Miami Stranded by Flash Flooding

Heavy rain caused flash flooding in Miami overnight on June 3 into June 4 as Potential Tropical Cyclone One, forecast to become a tropical storm, hit South Florida.

Footage shared by Miami Fire Rescue early on Saturday morning shows cars stranded in high floodwaters.

The department was responding to “multiple calls of cars stuck in the water,” they said.

The National Weather Service warned of the potential for “major flooding” with the possibility of coastal storm surge through Sunday. Credit: Miami Fire Rescue via Storyful
