Motorist forced to brake as car hood pops open on road in southern China
A motorist was forced to brake as their vehicle's hood suddenly popped open as the car was moving on a road in southern China. In the video filmed in Wushan city, Chongqing, Mr. Liu was driving when the hood of his car suddenly opened, completely blocking his view. The driver then turned on the warning lights, slowly stopped the car, got out the car and closed the hood. According to Mr. Liu, it’s because after refuelling at the oil station he mistook the hood switch as the fuel tank switch and didn’t press the hood tight, which led to the hood being blown open by the wind. Fortunately, he was not driving fast and escaped from danger. The video was filmed on December 18 and provided by local media with permission.
