Motorist Assesses Flooding in West Turkey After Earthquake

A “small tsunami” struck the Seferihisar district of Izmir as a powerful earthquake leveled multiple buildings and killed at least 12 people in Turkey on October 30, according to reports.

Turkish emergency authorities said at least 12 people had died and more than 500 were injured. More than 2,000 emergency personnel enacted search-and-rescue missions in at least 17 buildings. The earthquake also caused damage in Greece, where at least two people were reported to have died.
