More performers cancel concerts amid Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak

29 Jan – Following Andy Lau's concert cancellation, more performers announced that they are cancelling or postponing their upcoming concerts amid the outbreak of the Wuhan Coronavirus.

As reported on Mingpao, concert organiser Studio City announced on its official Facebook page that Leon Lai will not be holding his Macau show on the 31st of January and 1st of February to ensure the health and safety of the public.

"We will release the latest concert information on the Studio City official website, Facebook, Weibo, etc," the organiser added.

The Wynners had also decided to postpone their concert scheduled for 1st of February at the Cotai Arena in Macau, while Taiwanese singer Wu Tsing-fong has decided not to go through with his Tianjin and Wuxi concert in February.

It is noted that Andy Lau was originally set to perform 12 shows in Hong Kong to replace the ones he had to cancel at the end of 2018 after he fell ill halfway through his highly-anticipated "My Love Andy Lau World Tour".

Although fans, who had to wait more than a year for the replaced shows were saddened over the news, they expressed understanding over the decision and expressed their support for the singer.
