Monument Fire 'Very Active' Near Hayfork as Evacuation Order Issued

Firefighters worked to contain the Monument Fire burning in California as officials said the blaze covered over 198,800 acres on Wednesday, September 8.

A total of 1,796 personnel and nine helicopters were deployed to fight the wildfire, which on Wednesday was at 45 percent containment.
