If you're like me, you may become a little indecisive when booking a vacation. Maybe you really like the amenities offered at one rental, but the location of a similar rental allows easier access to activities. It sure can be a gamble especially when money is being put on the line. But what if you could stay at both rentals? In fact, what if you could take numerous getaways around the world for just one flat monthly fee.
Enter Inspirato, a luxury hospitality subscription company that exclusively guarantees guests safe, clean branded luxury rentals as well as member-only experiences. We’re talking access to over 150,000 glamorous villas and resorts, cruises, and/or one-of-a-kind experiences around the world. Think: cozy weekend at a ranch in Colorado, a whale watching cruise in California, or a spa weekend retreat. New offerings are constantly being added; however, most are currently domestic due to other international travel bans.
Now, thanks to the company’s new Inspirato Pass, guests can hop from one luxury getaway to the next without paying any nightly rates, taxes, or fees. All these charges are covered under the Inspirato Pass’s $2,500 monthly rate.
"The structure is very straightforward," Inspirato founder and CEO Brent Handler told Insider. "If you're familiar with how Rent the Runway works, or the original Netflix subscription, it's the same," he says. This means that guests can book a relaxing Palm Springs getaway, check out, then jet off to Puerto Rico for an island retreat.
Furthermore, what makes Inspirato standout from other platforms is it has its own staff that works to cater to members' every need as well as keep the rental up to the highest standard. Typically, rental platforms hand these responsibilities off to the host, who may or may not have experience in the hospitality industry. Inspirato employees; however, are trained to make sure guests receive five-star quality treatment.
Prior to launching the Inspirato Pass, the company offered (and still offers) a $600 monthly travel subscription which grants members access to travel advisors, a portfolio of private villas and hotels, as well as experiences like custom cruises or seats at in-demand sporting events. However, guests would have to pay separately for each of these events and or/stays, as their subscription only gave them access. The Inspirato Pass covers all fees. Members pay a flat rate of $2500 and can take choose from an assortment of dream vacations. The only thing that will cost guests is transportation.
Those with the Inspirato Pass can cancel anytime. However, there is a $2,500 initiation fee to sign up for the program, therefore, the first month will cost new users $5,000. Other than that, the rules seem very simple: you can't book multiple trips at the same time and if you're considering cancelling a trip, make sure you do it at least 72 hours in advance to avoid penalty. Like most memberships, it’s all about how much you use it.
"The simplicity of just being able to pick something, book it, not think about it, check-in, have a five-star experience, and, the day you check out, book your next trip has really taken off," Handler tells Insider.
