Monsters Tops Nielsen Streaming Chart, With Half of Dahmer’s Debut Numbers; Agatha Cracks Top 10
Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story dominated Nielsen’s latest U.S. ranking of streaming originals, albeit with half the minutes viewed during predecessor Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’s own opening week.
For the week of Sept. 16, Netflix’s Monsters racked up 1.7 billion minutes viewed across nine episodes, compared to Dahmer‘s 3.6 billion minutes viewed for 10 episodes, two years prior.

Netflix’s The Perfect Couple slipped to second place with a hair over a billion minutes viewed across six episodes, followed by Prime Video’s yet-to-be-renewed The Rings of Power (829 million minutes viewed/14 available episodes), Netflix’s Emily in Paris (717 million minutes/40 episodes) and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building (497 million minutes/34 available episodes).

Rounding out the Top 10 streaming originals for the week of Sept. 16 were Netflix’s Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter, Paramount+’s Tulsa King, the chart debut of Disney+’s Agatha All Along, Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and Netflix’s The Circle.
