Monkey Tattoo artist from Malaysia inks traditional hand-tapped tattoo at the Big London Tattoo Show

The Malaysian tattoo artist Monkey Tattoo (also called Jeremy Monkey) from Sarawak in Borneo, inked someone with a traditional hand-tapped tattoo at the Big London Tattoo Show on Saturday 3 September. The show was at the UK capital's Excel London exhibition halls. Hand-tapping is a traditional form of tattooing used in parts of Indonesia and Malaysia, particularly on the island of Borneo, in which the skin is individually pricked, and ink deposited, with each tap. The process is slower than using electric tattoo machines but appeals to some tattoo enthusiasts for its craftsmanship.
