Monica Lewinsky Endorsed Kamala Harris With a Selfie
"The power is in your hands."
Monica Lewinsky is encouraging voters to get out there and exercise their rights—and cast their ballots for who could be the first female president while they're at it. On Sunday, Lewinsky hit her polling place and documented the moment by capturing a selfie that showed her endorsing Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.
In the image, Lewinsky wore a Reformation crewneck (it's from her collaboration with the brand) with the words "You've got the power" emblazoned on the chest. She wore her brunette hair in loose curls and tucked behind her ears.
"The power is in your hands. every vote counts," she captioned the post. Over on X (formerly known as Twitter), Lewinsky had a more specific message for her followers.
"PLEASE VOTE! (preferably like i did for harris/walz)," she wrote alongside the same image.
As a longtime advocate for women, Lewinsky teamed up with Reformation and Vote.org earlier this year to encourage women to use their voices and get out the vote in a campaign titled You've Got the Power. (As seen on her sweatshirt.)
“It’s pretty simple: Voting is using our voice to be heard, and it’s the most defining—and powerful—aspect of democracy," Lewinsky said in a statement at the time. "Voting is always important, but the stakes are especially high this year with voter frustration and apathy threatening to meaningfully impact turnout. I’m excited and grateful to be working with Reformation to remind people to register, use their voice, and VOTE! A Ref woman is an empowered woman—and an empowered woman uses her voice."
Lewinsky joins the long list of celebrities endorsing the Harris-Walz campaign. Stars like Will.I.Am, Harrison Ford, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Cardi B, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Kerry Washington, and others have all given their support to Harris.
