Daphne Selfe credits her longevity to the right amount of self-care — with some partying mixed in.

The 95-year-old fashion industry vet — who is the world's oldest model by Guinness World Records standards — has worked with major fashion houses, covered major fashion magazines and strutted many catwalks. She attributes her good health that's kept her going all these years to a number of obvious things like eating right and exercising, but there are a few fun quirks that have also kept her going.

“I like a glass of champagne," she told The Telegraph in an interview published on Nov. 29. "Only occasionally, if it’s somebody’s birthday. Or my birthday.”

She admitted that thought she always ate well, she didn't necessarily diet. However, growing up during war times naturally made her ration food. Selfe said she never had to worry about her weight, but she fortunately enjoyed eating healthy.

“And one should always eat plenty of vegetables. I like broccoli, but I wouldn’t say it’s my favourite. At home, we used to grow all our own," she said.

To keep her skin in tip-top shape, she often reached for Nivea products, she said, and she made her to soak up plenty of vitamin D by getting outside often. She has always loved to be outside, and in her younger years, she shared that she always had a lot of pets — including some unusual ones!

"We had a pet fox at one point, called Vicky. And a rook called Johnny," she said, adding that she also at one point had two pet squirrels named Ping and Pong. “They would run all over the house, jump on your head and do all sorts of funny things.”

Another piece to the puzzle? Her social life.

“I’m a great one for socialising, and getting my friends together, even if it’s only for a coffee. And I do like to have a party.”

The British model did a little bit of that recently when she rubbed elbows with the royals.

Selfe, who in addition to modeling has also had roles in a few Bond films, recently moved into a care home funded by the Royal Variety Charity. She attended the Royal Variety Performance on Nov. 30 in London and spoke with Prince William and Kate Middleton. According to the Independent, Prince William asked Selfe when she retired, and Selfe told him she hadn't. The royal reportedly told her that's "amazing."
