MLB's Cleveland Indians to become the Cleveland Guardians

Yahoo Finance Live break down how Cleveland’s MLB team announced that they'll be the Guardians going forward.

MYLES UDLAND: All right, we'll finish our week out here with some non-business related coverage. Major League Baseball's Cleveland Indians announcing today that they'll be getting a new name and a new logo for the 2022 season. The Cleveland Guardians now a member of the American League Central Division, one of 1,100 possible options that the team had considered.

They promised a name change back in September. They, of course, dropped the team's mascot, Chief Wahoo, a few years ago. And we see here the Guardians the new team name for the Cleveland baseball team-- same colors, same typeface. Sozzi and Julie, as massive sports enthusiasts, thumbs up or thumbs down on this?

BRIAN SOZZI: Thumbs up. This news is bullish for Dick's Sporting Goods. Everybody's getting a new jersey. Shares are up here 3% in the early going.

MYLES UDLAND: Yeah, the typeface is great. I was in the Cleveland area last week. Saw a lot of Browns gear out there, also a lot of Cleveland baseball team gear out there. And I was in a Dick's Sporting Goods in Aurora, Ohio. How about that one? All right--
