Police in Nashville have released new body camera footage that shows an officer speaking with Riley Strain shortly before the now-missing college student was last seen.

The Metro Nashville Police Department shared footage on Monday of Strain’s “brief exchange of greetings” with Officer Reginald Young on Gay Street on March 8, the night the 22-year-old went missing.

Strain “did not appear distressed,” when he encountered the officer, who was in the area in response to “a vehicle burglary call,” according to police.

In the footage, shared on X, Strain can be seen walking down a sidewalk and seemingly initiating the exchange with the officer.

Young then asked the University of Missouri student, “How are you doing, sir?” to which Strain replied, “I’m good, how are you?” before walking away.

Officer Young “remained on that portion” of Gay Street for about 45 minutes, according to the MNPD.

Police did not disclose what time the footage was taken, but reiterated that “no video has been discovered that shows Riley away from Gay St after the 9:52 p.m. timeframe.”

Strain's parents “met with some of the detective team” on Sunday “and received a full briefing on the work being done” to find their missing child, in addition to being shown relevant video footage, according to the MNPD

“No evidence of foul play has surfaced as work continues to locate Riley Strain,” the police department said.

Previously-obtained surveillance footage from March 8 showed the student stumbling down the road after being asked to leave Luke Bryan's 32 Bridge Food + Drink restaurant and bar.

The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission is investigating whether Strain was overserved alcohol before he went missing. In a statement shared with PEOPLE Friday afternoon, the TC Restaurant Group, which oversees Bryan’s establishment, said that it has provided information to help authorities.

“During Riley’s visit to Luke’s 32 Bridge, our records show he purchased and was served one alcoholic drink and two waters," the statement read. "At 9:35 p.m., our security team made a decision based on our conduct standards to escort him from the venue through our Broadway exit at the front of our building. He was followed down the stairs with one member of his party. The individual with Riley did not exit and returned upstairs.”

The TC Restaurant Group’s statement concluded: “Our prayers continue to be with Riley’s friends and family during this difficult time and for his safe return.”

Over the weekend, police announced that Strain’s bank card was found on an embankment in by the Cumberland River on Sunday. However, they said no conclusive evidence has been found in the water.

The search for Strain and the investigation into his disappearance are ongoing.
