A three-year-old boy was reunited with his family on Sunday, September 6, following a search effort by law enforcement and local residents in Osteen, Florida.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said three-year-old Luke was reported missing Sunday afternoon and rescue teams, alongside neighbors, began searching in nearby fields, woods, ponds, and swamps.
Deputies were joined by a police helicopter and units from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission. Bloodhounds from the Tomoka Correctional Institution were on the way to join the search when Luke was found safe, about a mile from his home.
