Miriam Yeung bakes a jelly cake to raise breast cancer awareness

4 Jun – Miriam Yeung recently took up the challenge of baking a pink dessert - a challenge that was initiated by good friend Kimbee Chan to raise awareness about breast cancer.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress shared a video of her making strawberry jelly cake for the aptly named "PINK DESSERTS HOME CHALLENGE 2020", and showed off the finished product on Instagram.

She wrote, "While maintaining social distance, fighting the pandemic at home, everyone can make desserts, and cheer for patients with genetic cancer! Since not too many friends like to make desserts, only trouble the following friends, I am tagging [Gigi Leung], [Louisa Liu], and [Yu Yat Yiu]."

The said challenge requires one to make a dessert with pink elements, take a photo with the said dessert and share it on social media, and tagging three friends to join. Those who decide not to accept the challenge should instead donate at least HKD 20 to the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Database.

Other celebrities who joined the challenge include Rabee'a Yeung, who made a strawberry cupcake; and Christine Kuo, who made a pink-coloured coffee cake.
