Mourners gathered outside the Cup Foods store in Minneapolis, where Floyd died, for a memorial service on June 4.
The Somali women performed poems and took part in a moment of silence at the site, Rahma Farah, who took the video, told Storyful.
“The place has turned into a memorial and sacred ground in a way,” Farah said.
“A lot of Somali women on stage and in the crowd, including myself, wore red to support our black brothers and sisters,” Farah said. Credit: Rahma Farah / @nefelibatababy via Storyful
