People are being urged to avoid travelling to and from parts of the UK badly affected by the Indian variant of Coronavirus. The new guidance has caused confusion and frustration after being published on the government website on Friday without any official announcement. Among the affected areas are Bedford, Blackburn, Bolton, Burnley, Hounslow, Kirklees, Leicester and North Tyneside. People living within the affected areas are also being advised to only meet outdoors rather than inside and keep two meters apart from people they do not live with.
