Millions Tested for COVID-19 After Outbreak Reported in Wuhan, China

More than 2.5 million people in Wuhan, China, had taken COVID-19 tests in a 24-hour period ending Wednesday, August 4, after an outbreak was reported in the city on Monday, according to local media.

More than 18,000 medical staff have carried out sampling work in Wuhan after 12 new local cases and eight asymptomatic infections were confirmed between Monday and Tuesday, according to local news reports.
