STORY: The restrictions took effect at 12:00 a.m. local time on Saturday, putting people and businesses under a de facto lockdown.

Residents in six areas, that make up the majority of the city's almost 18 million residents, are required to be tested twice for COVID-19 as subway and bus services were suspended.
