Miley Cyrus has revealed in a candid interview that Liam Hemsworth was the first man she ever slept with.

The pop star, 27, told the Call Your Daddy podcast with Alexandra Cooper that her first ever sexual experience was a threesome with two female friends.

Cyrus, who just released her new song Midnight Sky and announced her split from boyfriend Cody Simpson, revealed she had not been with a man until she met Hemsworth when was aged 16.

“I didn’t go all the way with a dude until I was 16,” she said.

“But I ended up marrying the guy, so that's pretty crazy,” she continued, referring to her ex-husband.

Cyrus then revealed: “I lied and said he wasn't the first so I didn't seem like a loser.

“It was a lie that I held on to for like 10 years.”

Cyrus, who is pansexual, shared that she had had sexual experiences with women prior to meeting Hemsworth.

“The first time I ever hooked up with anyone was with a girl, two of them,” she said.

“When I was 11 or 12 my friends were starting to tell me what they were doing with guys and I didn't really understand it. So I got most of my girl friends to hook up with me.

“I was attracted to girls way before I was ever attracted to guys,” she continued. “When I was like 11-years-old I thought Minnie Mouse was super f******g hot.”

Cyrus and Hemsworth first became engaged in May 2012, and later rekindled their relationship in 2016 and married in 2018.

Their divorce was finalised in January of this year, but Cyrus spoke fondly of the relationship in the interview with Cooper.

"The relationship I had for 10 years was an amazing time in my life," she said.
