Mike Heslin, “Lioness” and “The Holiday Proposal Plan” actor, dies at 30
The actor "passed away from an unexpected cardiac event after a week long battle in the hospital," his husband said.
Mike Heslin, an actor known for his roles on Special Ops: Lioness and in the Lifetime movie The Holiday Proposal Plan, has died. He was 30.
His husband, Scotty Dynamo, confirmed the news in an Instagram post on Friday, saying Heslin died on July 2 "from an unexpected cardiac event after a weeklong battle in the hospital."
"Michael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened," he wrote.
Dynamo, born Nicolas James Wilson, said Heslin was "brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel" who "single-handedly carried me through multiple rounds of cancer" during his life.

"He was the first person everyone would call to share good news with, and he was the perfect person to call if they needed a shoulder to lean on or the best advice," Dynamo wrote. "He truly was the sweetest, most caring, and loving man on earth, and he brought out the absolute best in everyone who had the pleasure to cross paths with him. He moved through life with such ease and confidence, and turned everyone around him into a better version of themselves."
He continued, “Michael, meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me. You are my world. You are everything to me. When I felt you take your last breath, my heart shattered into a million pieces. If I had the power to trade places with you, I would do it in an instant. But I will take it one day at a time like you always told me to, and live every day in your honor."
Dynamo said he and Heslin were in the "early stages of starting a family" together and had begun to "share our favorite baby names for our future kids" before his death. He also praised his late husband for being an organ donor and giving "the gift of life to four different families."

"We are three weeks away from your birthday and four months shy of our one-year wedding anniversary, but I know that you are in a better place and that heaven has gained another angel," he concluded. "Michael, in the words of Shania Twain: I'll love you 'forever and for always.'"
Dynamo also shared a link to a GoFundMe campaign for Heslin in his Instagram Story, which will be used to "cover funeral and hospital costs, and to provide support to Nic and the Heslin family in this time of upheaval and change," per its description.
Heslin was best known for playing Polo on Taylor Sheridan's television spy thriller Special Ops: Lioness last year. His other credits include the Lifetime film The Holiday Proposal Plan, which he starred in alongside Tatyana Ali; Younger; The Influencers; and 7 Deadly Sins.
