Mickey Huang cancels wedding banquet

17 May – After postponing his wedding banquet several times, TV personality Mickey Huang recently announced that he and wife Summer Meng have decided to cancel all plans due to the pandemic.

As reported on Epoch Times, the comedian shared the bad news on Facebook, stating that he had planned a family banquet to celebrate his marriage to Summer, and invited 50 friends and relatives to attend. However, with the pandemic situation in Taiwan heating up again, he decided to abandon it altogether.

"It is impossible to predict the daily changes, and it is also difficult to handle it," he said.

Nonetheless, Mickey stated that his cancelled event was trivial compared to the current situation in the society.

"Don't worry. We are all very well after making that decision. For the past few years, we still love each other dearly," he added.

Mickey also posted several unseen photos from their wedding photo shoot in the past as well as a couple of videos, calling it his most treasured pictures.

As for Summer, the actress expressed her apologies to everybody involved, saying that she felt embarrassed for causing inconvenience to those who have helped her prepare for the event.

"This time we cancel it, and it will not be postponed again. I am already very grateful to God for letting me meet a good husband. I feel that these fortunes are better than everything. Health and safety come first!"
