Michelle Wai's fiance popped the question on her birthday
5 Jul – Michelle Wai recently made her first public appearance since announcing her engagement, revealing that she has yet to begin preparation for her wedding.
The actress, who appeared at a public event on 3 July, told the media that her boyfriend, of whom she has been dating for more than two years, actually popped the question on her birthday.
"We went to a restaurant for dinner and he arranged for my family, Carlos Chan and other friends to be there as witnesses. He then knelt down and proposed," she said.
Michelle said that she was completely unprepared at the time as she was preparing to shoot her new movie where she had to play a very heavy character.
Speaking about her fiancé, Michelle said that both of them have very contrasting personalities. While she is affectionate and excitable, he is calm and comforting.
As for her wedding date, she said, "I have not started the preparation yet. I hope to hold a banquet in Hong Kong early next year."
