Members of an Israel Defense Forces rescue team were honored by Miami-Dade County and local firefighters on July 10, as they readied to depart Surfside, having assisted recovery efforts there in the wake of the June 24 building collapse.

The servicemembers were given the key to the county for their efforts, and made honorary commanders of the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department.
