Mexican Navy Rescues Dog From Flooding in Tabasco

Officers with the Mexican Navy rescued a dog from floodwaters in Tabasco, Mexico on November 14, according to reports.

Footage posted by the Secretaría de Marina (the Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico), shows a rescue worker petting the dog then hoisting it onto his boat.

“Naval personnel rescued a puppy trapped in the midst of flooding in Tabasco, who, thanks to the care received, is safe in the company of his rescuers,” wrote Secretaría de Marina.

According to reports, Mexican federal authorities chose to divert flooding into impoverished areas of Tabasco in order to mitigate damage in the state’s capital city, Villahermosa. Credit: Secretaría de Marina via Storyful
