Memorial for Gabby Petito Grows in North Port Town Center

Residents of North Port, Florida, created a memorial for 22-year-old Gabby Petito, whose remains were found near Grand Teton National Forest in Wyoming.

Melissa P said she took this video of the memorial in front of North Port City Hall on Friday morning, September 24.

“It’s a beautiful sight,” she told Storyful.

Petito, who was a native of Long Island, New York, was living with her partner Brian Laundrie and his parents in North Port before her death. The pair had been on a cross-country road trip when Laundrie returned home to Florida without Petito.

Gabby’s father, Joseph Petito, wrote on Twitter that memorial services would be held at a funeral home in Holbrook, New York, on the afternoon of September 26.
