Members of the LGBTQ+ Community Tell Us What Pride Means to Them

Pride month is near it's completion, but that doesn't mean we'll stop celebrating our individuality. It's important we showcase how proud we are to be part of the LGBTQ+ community and give hope to those that are having a difficult time embracing who they are in environments that aren't necessarily healthy.

According to report published on HRC, "4 in 10 LGBT youth (42%) say the community in which they live is not accepting of LGBT people." They also go on to report, "92% of LGBT youth say they hear negative messages about being LGBT. The top sources are school, the internet and their peers." We can't control everyone's community, but we can control how we display our individual pride. If we showcase how amazing it feels to be part of the LGBTQ+ community it might give someone who's in a tough spot a bit of hope. Here's what Pride means to these beautiful members of the LGBTQ+ community from all different walks of life...
