Melvin Wong and son have no issues working together
29 Sep – Father and son duo Melvin Wong and Wesley Wong recently dismissed the idea of any awkwardness between them, despite playing love rivals in the new ViuTV series, "Iron Ladies".
As reported on Mingpao, the two actors who play the older man and the younger man respectively vying for the attention of the 56-year-old Carrie Ng, stated that their characters in the series are very different than who they are in real life, which made it easy for them to distinguish themselves clearly.
"The script made it entertaining enough for us without having to worry about the relationship between father and son," said Melvin.
On the other hand, Wesley admitted that he was initially more worried about being in the same project with Melvin, and even decided not to rehearse their scenes at home together.
Asked if there is a chance for them to film another drama together alongside wife Angie Chiu, Melvin said that he has no qualms about doing so.
"Let's go with the flow and see if there is a suitable script for us. I think the combination of us three would be good publicity. But the most important thing is to have a good story and co-stars," he said.
