Mekyun finally succeeded in her third fasting attempt

13 Apr – Three times a charm, as social media influencer Mekyun finally succeeded in fasting in the month of Ramadan.

The Kelantanese content creator, real name Wee Yun Nee, previously tried to fast twice with her brother, Wee Chuan Chin, known to many as Abe Wee, but failed both times due to not being fully prepared for it.

Detailing her experience on social media, Mekyun stated that she decided to use everybody's advice and strengthen her resolve in order to understand the poor and needy who could not experience the luxury of food.

She also stated that she wanted to test herself, physically, mentally, as well as her soul, to abstain herself from desires and to test her patience.

And she finally did it on her third attempt, with much support from her family, saying, "There were many challenges but also many lessons to learn. What's important is to spread love and positivity."

Meanwhile, another social media influencer, Ceddy Ang, has been detailing his fasting journey on Instagram, having successfully done so for the past three weeks and continues to do it.

The co-founder of Owlet Beauty has also been helping bazaar sellers in Denai Alam making profit through his many videos, promoting one stall after the other.
