Mekyun ends up in hospital after exciting CNY trip
1 Feb– It was all fun and games for Mekyun all throughout the Lunar New Year, that is until she ended up warded at the Pantai Hospital in Kuala Lumpur.
On 30 January, the social media influencer, real name Wee Yun Nee, shared a couple of photos from her hospital bed, and revealed that she had to be admitted for the first time as she had "something wrong" with her body immune system, as she puts it.
"Even the doctor was unsure what triggered it, so I have to be monitored until everything is fine," she said. "Anyway, please wish me speedy recovery, okay? So that I can be healthy again and create content especially with my family for you guys. Thank you so much!"
Fans and friends took to the comments to wish her well, including fellow influencer Ceddy Ang, who posted, "Sister, get well soon!"
Prior to her hospitalisation, the Kelantanese Mekyun, who became famous for her fluency in the dialect, had been sharing photos and videos from her trip to Vietnam and Thailand.
