Meghan Markle is celebrating her 40th birthday by launching a new initiative empower women reentering the workforce.
The Duchess of Sussex appeared in a video alongside actress Melissa McCarthy to introduce 40x40, a campaign to enlist 40 women to donate 40 minutes of their time "to mentor a woman who's mobilizing back into the workforce."
The birthday video, filmed inside the Sussexes Montecito, Calif. home, was the first time Markle has appeared on camera since the birth of her daughter, Lilibet Diana, in June. Markle looked radiant in a monochrome outfit that included a cream coloured sweater draped over a simple, white tank and a pair of white, cuffed pants and pair of tan Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Although the Duchess's children did not appear in the video, Markle wore a sweet tribute to two-year-old Archie and two-month-old Lili with her choice in accessories. Markle wore the Logan Hollowell Taurus Constellation necklace in 14-karat gold (approx. $2,007 CAD/$1,600 USD) to Archie's zodiac sign layered with the Gemini Constellation necklace (approx. $2,196 CAD/$1,750 USD) in honour of baby Lili.
This isn't the first time Markle has worn zodiac-inspired pieces as a tribute to her family. In 2019, the Duchess was spotted wearing necklaces from Suetables, a Canadian company, that featured husband Prince Harry's zodiac sign (Virgo) as well as a necklace for their eldest child.
