If the Duchess of Sussex has proved anything throughout her style evolution over the years, it's that she's always a conscious dresser.

Meghan joined her husband, Prince Harry, for a joint interview with the Evening Standard to mark the beginning of Black History Month in the United Kingdom, during which the couple declared the need to bring an end to structural racism within the country and abroad. For the appearance, Meghan wore a sleek, asymmetrical knit top by Haitian designer Victor Glemaud and brown leather trousers with her hair pulled back into her signature slicked-back bun.

Victor Glemaud is a known and adored designer within the industry who also recently founded In the Blk, a collaborative network of Black designers and creatives who work together to achieve financial independence within the fashion industry. Virgil Abloh, Jason Rembert, Fe Noel, and more are current members of the new initiative, according to Business of Fashion.

In addition to Harry and Meghan's video interview, the royal couple published a candid open letter for the outlet addressing racism in the U.K.

"For people of color and specifically for young Black Britons, the importance of representation in all parts of society, of seeing role models that share the same color skin as them, and seeing and reading stories of success and of hope from those who look like them, is absolutely vital in opening doors of opportunity," wrote the duke and duchess.

Meghan and Harry's joint interview wasn't the first time the duchess has shown off her newfound style—and apparent love of leather!—since stepping down as a senior working royal and relocating to the West Coast with Harry. For a surprise appearance on America's Got Talent, during which the duchess offered a contestant coincidentally named Archie an encouraging message, Meghan also wore a pair of leather trousers, this time in black and paired with a cocoa-hued button-down courtesy of Victoria Beckham.
