Meghan Markle Hints at Future Solo Events After Recent Appearance
Prince Harry has been going stag at recent appearances as well.
Expect to see more of Meghan Markle very soon. Though the Duchess of Sussex hasn't been out and about with Prince Harry in recent months, she took the time recently to attend a holiday dinner for the Southern California Welcome Project hosted in partnership with her and Harry's Archewell Foundation—and hinted that more solo endeavors may be on the horizon.
"In celebration of Thanksgiving, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex and The Archewell Foundation hosted a heartfelt dinner for the Southern California Welcome Project," a statement on Archewell's official website read. "This initiative, led by the partner organization Mina’s List, has spent the past year building community through storytelling and creating a safe space for women who have resettled in the U.S. from Afghanistan."
At the event, Markle met with Afghani women while enjoying a meal of Middle Eastern-inspired dishes. After the main event, she posed with several of the women in attendance for photos. "The evening included a shared meal that encouraged open conversation centered on gratitude and resilience," the statement continued. "The Duchess expressed her deep appreciation to the attendees for sharing their personal stories and cultural experiences, underscoring her excitement for future gatherings that continue to strengthen these connections."
The dinner event was hosted by Our Place founder Shiza Shahid; whose company is responsible for creating the viral and celebrity-loved Always Pan. The guests in attendance were gifted new cookware from the brand ahead of the holiday season, with the statement concluding that "the Archewell Foundation remains committed to uplifting women and fostering community through shared experiences, reinforcing the importance of unity and support during challenging times."
Markle's appearance at the Southern California Welcome Project isn't her only recent solo endeavor. The duchess attended the launch of Highbrow Hippie Haircare & Wellness on November 14, and wore a princess-style corset top and black pants for the occasion, as if nodding to her royal roots.
“It’s clear that a twin-track approach is evolving," a friend of Markle and Harry's told People of their recent separate appearances. "The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals—not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track."
