Meet Chariah Gordon, Chiefs WAG Who Went from Giving Birth on Super Bowl Sunday to ‘Breaking the Internet’ with a Single Photo (Exclusive)
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Chariah Gordan gives a behind-the-scenes look at her life as a mom of two and fiancée of Chiefs superstar Mecole Hardman
Chariah Gordon has an NFL storyline of her own.
While the Kansas City Chiefs have a compelling narrative as they continue their pursuit to become the first team in the league to clinch three consecutive Super Bowl wins, the football WAG has had headline-making seasons herself.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Gordon — who is the fiancée of Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. — gives a full play-by-play of what her life has been like as part of the NFL family, from giving birth on Super Bowl Sunday to "breaking the Internet" with the world's biggest pop star.
Gordon first turned heads of football fans in February 2023, when she became one of the most followed storylines of Super Bowl LVII. While the brotherly showdown of Travis and Jason Kelce was one of them, a then-expecting Gordon was another.
"My water fully broke. That was the morning of the Super Bowl," Gordon tells PEOPLE, recalling the "chaos" that ensued thereafter from the hotel room to the hospital in the host city of Glendale, Ariz. "It was a Super Bowl baby along with a win!" she says proudly.
The couple's firstborn son was named Mecole III after his father, who got "permission" from the Chiefs to support Gordon in labor. Showing up for each other is a reciprocated gesture between the athlete and Gordon, who says she's "making it a point" to go to every game this season.
"The last two years... I've been pregnant," she says of why she didn't have perfect attendance at games in the past, as they welcomed their second child, a baby girl, in April 2024.
She even has plans to bring her little ones to a few games this season, too, "...before it gets really cold," she clarifies.
While Gordon views game days as "a break" from the 24/7 cycle of being a mom at times, the star-studded suite isn't always as stress-free as it looks! "Man, I be so nervous. Every time he gets the ball in his hand, I'm like, 'Please, please, please, just be okay'," she says of watching her fiancé play.

This nurturing, encouraging energy has been emitted by Gordon since the early days of their relationship. Although the couple began talking at the end of 2019 into 2020, she says their love story took a serious turn when the Chiefs lost in the 2021 Super Bowl.
"Honestly, this was the real start of our relationship," reveals Gordon, who relocated from her native Chicago to Kansas City. "We've been inseparable ever since," she says, adding, "I think that however I comforted him, it made him feel like, 'Okay, she could be my woman.' "
A career primarily based on performance and wins can be mentally taxing, especially for a three-time Super Bowl winner like Hardman, which Gordon doesn't take lightly. "I definitely just try to stay in his ear and keep him motivated and keep him inspired," she says.
"You speak everything you want into existence," explains Gordon, who calls herself "intuitive" due to the self-described "Pisces power" she possesses. "We both got some type of special magic going on!"
The losses, however, make the wins feel that much better — something the Chiefs kingdom knows very well, given their undefeated 7-0 streak to start the season for the third time in franchise history (not to mention, on the heels of their back-to-back Super Bowl victories).
The electricity and excitement of watching Gordon and her fellow Chiefs WAGs cheer on their loved ones to succeed during games can be felt through the TV screen. "It looks like a party because we are always celebrating," she says.
"We celebrate the tackles, the touchdowns, the yards," Gordan explains. "It's just really good, genuine vibes. We're happy for them doing what they love... and wishing them the best while they're on the field."
Last year's NFL season had its fair share of memorable storylines, concluding with a happy ending for Gordon and the Chiefs when Hardman completed a pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to score the game-winning touchdown at the Super Bowl.
Gordon was the subject of another exciting chapter earlier that season, one that captured the attention of a whole new audience of football fans after posting a PDA-filled photo on Instagram with Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift amid their budding romance in October 2023.
"I didn't know that it was going to be that big," Gordon admits of her viral photo, which she recreated with the superstar couple and her fiancé Hardman for a "part ii" this year. "I had no expectations," she recalls.
"I just honestly posted because we had a good time and it was a really nice photo," Gordon continues. "I didn't know that I was breaking the internet, so I was oblivious to all of that... It's just good times with good people that I care about, and that's just that."
While Hardman's hustle on the field shows no sign of stopping, neither does Gordon's grind off of it. The mom of two not only doubles as a committed and motivating partner to her star NFL fiancé, but she triples as an entrepreneur as well.
Gordon is the founder of GLO Collection, a skincare business and clothing line that she ultimately plans to make a "one-stop shop." Right now, the online store sells skin, body and beauty products, in addition to apparel.
"I created the Glo Collection because I was going through [the] experience of having really bad acne," she says. "I wanted to create something where women can come feel comfortable, be themselves and look beautiful all the way around." She adds, "I'm a girl's girl and I like for us to look and feel our best."
Since its inception in 2018 and official launch in 2020, Gordon has no plans of slowing down. Next, she's teaming up with Hardman's workout brand, Jet Apparel, and teased her vision for the campaign: to encourage women to "get fit" and "toned up," regardless of the stage of life they're in.
For Gordon — a new mom of two and a newly-named fiancée — that stage of life is a "special" one, especially because she has Hardman alongside her for the ride. "He's truly my best friend," she says of her soon-to-be husband.
"I would have definitely chosen him in a million lifetimes — and I'm glad that I get to do this life thing with him and just continue to build and grow our legacy for our kids," she says. "I'm just excited to see what's next for us."
