Bridgerton has finally arrived on Netflix. It's a new matching season at the ton which means it's time to meet this year's eligible bachelors and bachelorettes as they try to find true love at some of the world's most lavish balls. But one thing is totally different this year. A mysterious Lady Whistledown is out to share everyone's secrets and oh, are there secrets to be shared. While we might not be able to share a dance with all of these wonderful characters, it's certainly important that you meet them, and the actors that bring them to life, before diving head first into Bridgerton.

Here are the cast and characters of Netflix's Bridgerton.

Phoebe Dynevor as Daphne Bridgerton

"When we first meet Daphne, she's conforming of the society that she's in. She's young and naive. She doesn't know a lot about the world. But she has this vibrant personality that I think comes with sort of having this giant loving family that will sort of bring out the best and the worst in each other," Phoebe told Seventeen exclusively. "She goes on this journey of self discovery and a sexual awakening of sorts. It's really a coming of age story. It was great to bring that to life and watch her sort of become more and more empowered as the show goes on."

You might recognize Phoebe if you're a huge Younger fan. She played Clare during the last few seasons of the show.

Regé-Jean Page as Simon Basset

"Simon is, on the surface, what appears to be a fairly typical, tall, dark, brooding, wounded, damaged, mysterious man. But I think what's exciting about him is that we get to interrogate why and what is even attractive about this archetype of romantic hero," Regé told Seventeen. "Often, I think of him as the antagonist of the series. He's not a hero. He needs to be defeated. These walls that he has up, this immense destructive pride that he has plaguing him, needs to be worked through. Then we discover that he is also incredibly charming and generous and empathetic. He just needs to find a way to access all of that to become stronger than he thinks he is at the beginning. I think he's fun because we get to question him a bit harder than we often do with our romantic heroes."

Shondaland fans will certainly remember Regé for starring as Leonard in For the People.

Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington

"Penelope is a very complicated young woman. She's not easy to describe in one sentence, because she's, she has a lot of contradictory qualities. She's very sweet. She's very innocent. She's sort of bullied by her family. She's beloved by her best friend. She's witty, but she's quiet. She has such kindness to her, but also can be really unkind in her own ways. And as an actor, it's fascinating because she's original," Nicola said. "Every part of her is her and I think that's all human beings. I had to try and reconcile that with her, but she's also really young. Her innocence means that she sometimes does things that you makes you think, if I was her big sister, I would say, 'Are you sure you're gonna do that? Because I'm not sure you have the capacity to control the fallout of that new situation you've got yourself into.'"

Nicola is already a Netflix queen in her own right. She has starred in the hit series Derry Girls and The Great British Bake-off: Holidays.

"I love her so much. She's the best thing I've ever played in my whole life. She's young, but she's so intelligent. she's got a bit of like a pinball machine brain that doesn't really slow down or filter many things out. She can be cunning when she needs to be and she says exactly what's coming through," Claudia revealed. "She's explorative, brazen, and witty. Eloise is a bit of a force of nature, especially in an environment that seems to be following a very sturdy system that she's just like, 'Well, no, bugger off. I'm not interested. I want something else.' She's a bit of a trailblazer in that aspect as well."

Claudia previously starred in in the web series Dixi and has appeared in iconic British shows like Doctor Who and Call the Midwife.

Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton

Anthony is the oldest of the Bridgerton siblings. He is all about keeping things proper, especially as Daphne joins the matching scene. However, he also has a couple of secrets of his own that he's keeping.

Jonathan is a prolific television, film, and stage actor. He has appeared in shows like Broadchurch and Doctor Who. He won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for playing Jamie in the 2018 revival of Company.

Ruby Barker as Marina Thompson

Miss Marina Thompson is the new girl at the ton. After being sent to stay with her cousins, the Featheringtons, she starts to shake things up as she becomes the talk of the city and many of the boys want to court her.

Ruby appeared in the final season of Wolfblood and is set to star in the upcoming film, How to Stop a Recurring Dream.

Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton

Colin is the youngest of the main Bridgerton brothers. He's close friends with Penelope. He's kind and is always ready to do what is right, no matter what it means for him.

Luke previously starred as Ben Evans in the hit Disney series, The Lodge.

Benedict is the middle of the main Bridgerton brothers. While he would like to follow in his brother's footsteps and do whatever it takes for his family, he is also uninterested in being a part of the ton and wants to become a painter.

Luke has appeared in movies like Dunkirk and TV shows like In the Club. He's also known for his theater work like National Theater's production of King Lear and The Shakspeare's Globe's A Midsummer's Night Dream.
