McKinney Fire Burns More Than 50,000 Acres in California
The McKinney Fire blaze covered more than 50,000 acres in Siskiyou County, California, and was zero percent contained as of Sunday, July 31, according to Cal Fire.
Firefighters worked to contain the fire in difficult conditions as the Klamath National Forest Service reported hot and dry weather has contributed to the rapid spread.
Videos posted by Neena Rai, who said the footage was taken in Siskiyou County on Saturday and Sunday, show smoke limiting visibility. Rai said the smoke, which had a strong smell, blocked the light of the sun. Credit: Neena Rai, author Amazing Ayodhya via Storyful
