Max Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa confirms June 23, 2023 release date
Warner Bros Studios has carved out a release date for its eagerly anticipated Mad Max: Fury Road prequel. Oh, what a day! What a lovely day!
Announced earlier this year, the movie – which follows Furiosa, Charlize Theron's character from the 2015 outing – is set to land in US cinemas on June 23, 2023.
The Queen's Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy is set to take over from the original actor, playing a younger version of the fearsome war captain, and will be joined on-screen by Aquaman's Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Thor's Chris Hemsworth.

George Miller is geared up to return as writer and director, alongside his long-time producing partner Doug Mitchell.
"I fell in love with Furiosa because of the way Charlize presented [her]," Taylor-Joy previously revealed, while appearing as a guest on MTV's Happy Sad Confused podcast. "She did such an incredible job. It was so beautiful.
"I can't even think about trying to step into her shoes. It has to be something different because it just can't be done.
"I've already started dreaming about [Furiosa] and she's coming in very strong. I'm so committed to working as hard as possible as I can. I always said that I wanted a role that I would have to give everything to.
"It wouldn't just be my mind but my body, what I'm doing with myself when I'm not on set. I'm so excited for that and to push myself past the limits of what my brain thought was possible."
