What can you tell me about Yellowstone 5B? Anything? —Corey
What we’re hearing is that when the Paramount Network hit (finally!) returns on Sunday, Nov. 10, a good time will be had by all. Or at least a good time will be had by all who are in the vicinity of the scantily clad young women the show is casting for a scene in which they’ll party hearty. For their sake, though, let’s hope they don’t make the mistake of macking on Rip; Beth tends to, uh, not take that so well.
Any scoop on Emily in Paris Season 4, Part 2 (premiering Sept. 12), ideally about Mindy? –Claire
“I think that her musical journey in this season is a really exciting one,” Ashley Park says of Mindy’s Eurovision arc, “and she ends up in places and doing stuff that she never expected to. Her final musical moment is a really special one. It’s the first time we really hear her sing from her own kind of soul something that she’s written.”
Anything on SEAL Team? –Schwarz
If you’ve been growing impatient waiting for a breakthrough on the Drew/Bravo bonding front, this Sunday’s episode should put you at ease. And if you like pecs, lats, six-pack abs, V-cuts and tattoos, I’d venture to say you’re really gonna like Drew after this week.
I was wondering if the show Blue Ridge with Johnathon Schaech and Sarah Lancaster was picked up for a second season. –Scott
Blue Ridge was in fact renewed on Thursday, and will premiere in 2025 on Western Bound — the FAST channel fka Cowboy Way and re-launching Sept. 3 at WesternBound.com.
Do you have any scoop about Season 2 of Silo (premiering Nov. 15)? –Kat
When I spoke to showrunner Graham Yost this week, he confirmed my suspicion — given the amount of retuning cast members — that whereas the second half of the Wool novel that Season 2 covers is quite Juliette-centric and spends comparatively less time in her old silo, the TV series will be “a little more 50-50.” Case in point, the first new episode is all Juliette, he said, and the second is all Silo 18 action.
Do you have any info where we might stream Homicide: Life in the Streets in the UK? –Chris
I worked the proverbial phones for you, Chris, but there is no news yet on the remastered, iconic crime drama streaming in the UK (or in Canada, for those who emailed me about the Great North).
Any fun tidbits about What We Do in the Shadows‘ final season (premiering Oct. 21)? –Drew
The Staten Island vamps get a serious wake-up call when their old roommate emerges from a 50-year nap and starts asking hard questions, executive producer Paul Simms teases: “He says, ‘Vampires are still secret, the public doesn’t know about them, so why do you have a documentary crew following you around?’… So he’s asking a lot of questions that make them wonder what they’ve been doing.” Fans can also expect “a ton of new guest stars” in Season 6, the EP adds: “If there’s anything we saved up, it was the guest stars for this season, because we wanted to just use our favorite funniest people.”
Ryan Murphy’s American Sports Story and American Love Story were both commissioned by FX three years ago, but we don’t know if American Love Story is still in the works. Do you have an answer? –Steven
Love Story is still a thing, though nothing at all has been announced yet regarding Season 1. (American Sports Story‘s first at-bat, about Aaron Hernandez, meanwhile, arrives Sept. 17.)
Do we have any idea how many episodes Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is? My inner child wants as much as Disney will give me! –Marvin
The first season of the sequel series premiering in late October will conjure a whopping 21 episodes, though the initial Disney+ binge drop is only the first eight.
Do you know if Sprung or Deadloch will get second seasons? –Torin
There’s no official word on the former, which premiered on Freevee more than two years ago (make of that as you will), but Season 2 of Deadloch (which streams Stateside on Prime Video) was announced last month and starts filming very soon in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Anything on S.W.A.T.? –Gloria
Deacon, who put a big ol’ pin in retirement when last we tuned in (thanks, unlucky-in-love sister-in-law!), will exhibit “a real renewed vigor” when Season 8 opens on Oct. 18, showrunner Andrew Dettmann tells TVLine. “Having walked away from it and then realizing this really is his true calling, he is back full force.”
Will Carina De Luca, Monica Beltran and Taryn Helm be recurring guest stars in Season 21 of Grey’s (premiering Sept. 26)? —Leo
With regard to Stefania Spampinato’s Grey’s/Station 19 character, EP Meg Marinis says that “Carina exists in our world, so [an appearance is] always a possibility,” while Jaicy Elliot’s “Taryn will eventually come back from Paris. We love her, and we love Taryn and Levi’s friendship.” The showrunner is cagier, though, about a return for Natalie Morales’ Monica, who was set up to be paired with Amelia only to unexpectedly get with Winston instead. “We love having Natalie in the fold,” Marinis says. “Monica brings something different out in each of our characters. So if and when she returns, [her flirtation with Amelia and hookup with Winston] will definitely need to be addressed.” UPDATE!: TVLine can confirm Variety’s report that Morales will return for at least six episodes, stating with 21×02.
Should we expect a three-month time jump at the beginning of Grey’s Anatomy Season 21? That’s what happened at the end of Station 19 when Ben announced that he was going back to his surgical residency…. —Lew
“No,” says Grey’s boss Meg Marinis. “I wouldn’t call it a time jump. I wouldn’t say it’s a direct pickup [of Season 20’s finale], either, but our timeline is more in keeping with where we left off at the end of last season.”
Can Ghosts fans expect to see any of the neighbors this season — the Farnsbys, or June and Ally — as well as Thor’s son Bjorn? –Nick
We will definitely see the Farnsbys and Bjorn this season (premiering Oct. 17), showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman tell TVLine.
What’s happened to Digman!? Last I heard, it was renewed, but it hasn’t aired since May 2023. — Julie Ann
It was in fact renewed ahead of its Season 1 finale, but there is no news yet on a premiere timetable.
When will the printable fall premiere calendar be available? Premieres are starting next week. –NCH
I hope to have the beloved PDF up by Tuesday, now that the Oct. 1 VP debate delays are all settled and The CW is (presumably!) done moving things around…. Until then, study up on our week-by-week Fall TV listings.
