Matrix Concepts Group Proves To Be Connoisseurs In Producing Townships With A Homely, Stylish And Exclusive Feel

Eighteen years from entering the property development business, Matrix Concepts Group has established itself as one of the country’s leading township developers.

The Bursa Malaysia-listed firm currently counts more than 23,000 residential, commercial and industrial units in its portfolio and shows no signs of slowing as it approaches its third decade.

The holding company is also focused on the construction, education and hospitality sectors, yet it is Matrix’s flagship property development Negeri Sembilan-based Bandar Sri Sendayan, a self-contained township that integrates residential and commercial developments, as well as green business parks, that garnered plaudits at this year’s PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia).

After a victorious 2019, in which the company was awarded Best Township Development (Klang Valley) for Bandar Sri Sendayan, and Special Recognition for Industrial/Logistic Development for Sendayan TechValley, Matrix reinforced its township development credentials with two big wins at this year’s event.

On awarding Matrix with one of the event’s most prestigious developer trophies, Best Township Developer (Malaysia), the judging panel noted that “big ideas with magnificent attention to small details create townships with a heart that feel homely, stylish and exclusive so that they resonate with residents on every level of life. These are the impressive hallmarks of Matrix Concepts Group, with contemporary architecture and natural surroundings in balance, while at the same time developing residential projects that achieve a true sense of individuality.”

The all-encompassing lifestyle development, close to major roads and a soon-to-be-developed high-speed train to Singapore, features spacious, landscaped phases dedicated to residences, recreational facilities and commercial amenities that target multi-generational homeowners, investors and the local workforce. At the heart of the development, Sendayan MetroPark is Bandar Sri Sendayan’s main retail hub, with 132 outlets, while the nearby Sendayan TechValley is further proof of the township’s commercial focus.

Elsewhere, residents have access to an array of adrenaline-fuelled pursuits, including a paintball field, electric go-karting, playgrounds, jogging paths, reflexology pathways and the private gazebos that serve individual residential parcels. There is also a seven-acre country club complete with an Olympic-sized swimming pool, fitness and aqua gym and bowling alley.

Taking into account the diversity of lifestyle activities and township’s strategic location, the Awards judging panel added to Bandar Sri Sendayan’s 2019 success with a Best Township Development (Malaysia) trophy at the virtual gala dinner, held in September.

“A large jewel of a township in the crown of the grand Malaysia Vision Valley development, Bandar Sri Sendayan by Matrix Concepts Group shines brightly with the promise of a self-sustaining city,” they said. “It is an ambitious development, aimed at engaging residents with incredible facilities appealing to generations to come.”

While construction of Bandar Sri Sendayan is expected to be ongoing for at least another year, Matrix has set its sights on domestic and international expansion. Plans are already afoot to enter high-growth areas in Malaysia, including Johor Bahru and Klang Valley, as well as establishing an overseas footprint with a major commercial project in Jakarta’s new financial district and the addition of a second residential property, M Greenvale, in Melbourne.
