Mat Yeung hopes his drama will have "Forensic Heroes IV" success

31 Mar – Mat Yeung recently expressed hope that his new drama, "Airport Strikers" will be received well by the audience.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who attended the promotional event of the said series alongside co-stars Owen Cheung, Sisley Choi, and Roxanne Tong recently, stated that he wanted to emulate what "Forensic Heroes IV" had in terms of viewership, especially since the series is taking over the slot left by the Mui Siu Ching drama.

"Hopefully, the drama will have the same ratings because we spent a lot of effort on training and making ourselves look like the real airport special force. I hope more viewers will watch it," he said.

It is noted that the drama was shelved by TVB last year following the dire situation in Hong Kong, with protesters accusing the police of brutality.

In a previous interview, Mat, who is known to be a firm supporter of the Hong Kong Police, admitted that there is a possibility for a segment of the public to boycott the said series because of him.

"This is out of my control. Everybody can make their own choices. If they don't think they will like it, then they don't have to watch it," he said.
