In footage shared with Reuters, huge plumes of black smoke were seen as the fire raged at the parking lot of a RV (recreational vehicle) dealership in Abbotsford -- a city in British Columbia.
The blaze has since been put out according to the police, who also warned residents to stay indoors due to potential toxic smoke from the fire.
The death toll from floods and landslides that devastated parts of British Columbia in recent days is set to rise, with the Canadian province declaring a state of emergency on Wednesday and the federal government promising major help.
Authorities have confirmed one death while at least three people were missing. Some 18,000 people are displaced in the Pacific Coast province according to the Canadian Public Safety Minister.
